Annual AMME Conference Reinforces Arriba Vision

July 17, 2007 - Attending the Worldwide Association of Mexicans Abroad annual conference in San Antonio provided a great degree of insight into the need of the Hispanic community for financial education, according to Jay Goth, CEO of Arriba Card, Inc. The event, which was well attended by businesspeople and government officials from both the U.S. and Mexico, is a gathering of hometown association leaders, consumers, businesses and community organizations dedicated to improving the Hispanic community.

Arriba exhibited its program during the conference at a display table in the exhibit hall. During breaks in the conference, the area was filled with interested parties, all wanting to know about Arriba and its mission.

Visiting the Arriba booth were Marta Lara, Mexican consul to San Antonio, Hector Barreto, former head of the SBA, and Henry Cisneros, former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, who received a lifetime achievement award for his efforts in helping Hispanics attain home ownership. Each of these luminaries expressed a great deal of interest in the Arriba concept and expressed support for the ideals of Arriba.

In addition to the public attendance, Arriba management had opportunities to engage with other business leaders focused on the Hispanic market, including educational companies, airlines, media groups, banks, and more. The meetings were all collaborative and extremely friendly with many business cards exchanged and the promise of future cooperative endeavors.
