Brad Cates To Provide Valuable AML and Regulatory Insights

September 17, 2007 - Brad Cates, former federal Judge and Justice Department official, has agreed to provide insight and support to Arriba Financial Services. As the financial services industry is heavily regulated and since 2001 new laws regarding money movement and payments have been enacted, having a key advisor familiar with these issues is paramount.

Mr. Cates is currently a legal consultant, primarily concentrated in Immigration, Internet Law, and Money Laundering Compliance. He has been admitted to the bar in New Mexico, Texas, District of Columbia, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Brad has served as a Federal Judge, Director of Hearings and Appeals, for the Interior Department. He has also served as Director, Office of Asset Forfeitures, for the Department of Justice. He was Assistant Commissioner for the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service and has served in additional capacities on local, state, and national levels.

"Brad brings some unique qualities to the table," stated Jay Goth, CEO of Arriba. "Looking at his resume, one would think that he is a buttoned-down attorney conditioned to government service - however he is anything but that. Brad brings the needed foresight and can anticipate regulatory activity as it pertains to our market, while thinking like an entrepreneur and providing key alternative strategies to keep us compliant and a model citizen."

"I originally contacted Jay because I have some ideas of my own regarding stored value, mobile payments, etc. that I want to pursue," said Mr. Cates. "The more we talked, the more I found Jay's vision and company mission to be highly commendable. This is a market in need of his services, and combining education with financial tools can provide a solid foundation for many people who have never been adequately served in the past. It's exciting to be involved in such a groundbreaking opportunity."

Mr. Cates joins William Kincaid of Kincaid Technologies in the Advisory Board. Arriba intends to recruit and attract other thought leaders to the company as the business plan is developed and implemented.
